COMPARATIVE EDUCATION As I said the other day Alejandra put us a video which was trying to show the differences between Shouth Korea´s education and Findland's education. Today we continued with that. Firstly we answered the question related to the video, it was about the main education´s differences between both countries. Secondly Alejandra project a Power Point with some questions and their answers. With the questions we made a little debate because some classmates had different opinions. I think this is a good method to learn because this forces you to think, so the main ideas of the topic you think them firstly and then when you know the correct answer that is usually very similar to the one you had previously thought, the information is recorded in your head much faster.

PROJECT ABOUT DESCHOOLING VI Today we were making the word we should give to Alejandra in a few days.  Firstly we read the information we have on the Power Point to know what information we must put on it. After it, we searched for a video, this was difficult because we wanted a short and entertaining video and not all the videos were like this. We don´t find it yet. We revised the APA´s part again because we were not sure about what we put on the presentation and if we have something worng our job is not going to have any positive marks and we don´t want that. In the second hour we tried to learn our part of the project because we want to explain it as clear as possible for our classmates. When  somebody had already learned it, she told her part to the rest of the group, to correct what they thought it was wrong and the pronunciation. For my point of view this is the most difficult part of the project because English is not our mother tongue so we need to ha...

EDUCATION IN FINLAND AND IN SOUTH KOREA   Today I could not assist to class because I woke up with a very strong headache but I arrived in the class 5 minutes before the end so I talked with Alejandra trying to know what they had done, she said to me that they were seeing a video which talked about why Finland and South Korea are in the top of the education´s rank  and she told me too that I should answer a question. I made it at home, so I saw the video trying to understand the main ideas and I tried to answer the question as good as possible.

PROJECT ABOUT DESCHOOLING V Yesterday Alejandra sent to us a message it said that we should finish our project between today and on tuesday.  My group decided to look for some videos because we have finished our presentation in Power Point the last day. Firstly the videos I found were not very interesting, ther were very bored and they did not say the most important information about deschooling. This part of the project took us at least 30 minutes. The rest of the time we decided the activity we are going to make in class with our classmates, firstly we did not have enough ideas so we wrote on a paper the ideas we had and try to have more or remodel the ones we had. The last few minutes we made the APA´s part of the project but we did not have finished everything, so the next day we should continue with that. I like making this project I can know my classmates more and I can learn a lot of deschooling which is a topic that at first is not interesting, but then when you...

PROJECT ABOUT DESCHOOLING IV Today in the class Andrea and I returned to the library because as I said in the last post of the blog we want to have erything as completed as possible. Andrea and I read another time what we wrote in the last class about deschooling at the present and completed it with more information from the books and internet. When we finished that we put all the information in the power point and returned to the computer room to help the rest of the group. Today our plan was finish most of the work. When each one of us finished our part of the work we read the APA's presentation trying to understand something because the first time we read we do not understand anything, we made a scheme with all the information we had in the power point. For me, it was the first time I read something related to APA so for me all is new and there were some things I don't understood as well as I expected.

TRADITIONAL HISTORY AND NEW HISTORY III Today in  class Alejandra put us a power point with the main differences between traditional history and new history, it was a summary about the article we read last week. Firstly Alejandra said to us that we should say the differences we captured when we read the article, she completed them with more information. Secondly we saw two videos, one was based on the education today, and it said that the education system we have today is the same as in the past so we don´t have innovation on it and that is no good. The other video talked about the differences between the east and the weast culture and the way to see the world. I think that both videos were very interesting because we learned a lot from them, in the first video we learned that we musn´t have the same education system and we musn´t give in the same way class to all the students because not every children has the same facility to learn. In the second video we t...

TRADITIONAL HISTORY AND NEW HISTORY II Yesterday, Alejandra sent us an email, in it she explained that we should prepare a debate about the topic we worked a few days ago, but the class answered to the email asking for change it to the next day, and Alejandra said yes. Today in class, my classmate and I made a table comparing the differences between both types of history. The table contains the main ideas of the text so we read it a lot of times because we want to have a good mark in the debate. I think this technique is a good idea because with the debate you can learn a lot.   It can help you to learn all the differences, so in the exam is going to be easier to know them. It has been good for us that Alejandra left us more time to prepare it, because my classmate and I could read another time the text and we understood many more things than the first time we read it.
